Appearance: white to slightly yellow needle-like crystal or crystal powder
Fragrance: similiar to vanilla beans stronger than vanillin
Solubility( 25 degree centigrade): 1g of ethyl vanillin is soluble in 2ml of 95% ethanol and the solution is transparent
Melting point: 76-78 degree centigrade
